My First On-line Class!

I am feeling soooooo super proud of myself right now! I did this hard thing. Techy things are STEEP learning curves for me, but I persisted (see former BLOG post about persisting) and learned and learned some more and finally published my first on-line class on a platform called Skillshare.  ANYone can take this class, it’s called  Simple & Elegant Watercolor Cards for All Levels

Why did I chose Skillshare?

Skillshare is one of my favorite places to be as you can get endless inspiration with NO advertisements. The classes are quality and cover a multitude of topics. See my screen shot of the catagories:

I know about Skillshare because many of the people I follow in the field of creativity share really good classes there.

Check out every single thing from Peggy Dean from “Pigeon Letters” for instance!

Also check out Amie Murray, a fellow classmate who just posted an amazing class called Paint With Texture: Create an Impasto Style Potted Geranium in Acrylic

How Does Skillshare Work?

Skillshare is a subcription based thing, but to see my class you won’t have to pay becuase you get 30 days free. After that it’s $168 per year which is $13.99 a month (way cheaper than the monthly payment of $32, unless you just want a month or two).

If you are planning on only taking the 30 days free and not doing a yearly membership, put a note in your calendar to cancel 28 days from now along with a notification on your phone, as I think you will just get charged after the 30 days.

I’m not really trying to sell you on Skillshare (although it’s fantastic), I simply want to share with you my class and you can see for yourself with a 30 day trial if you like the platform or not. AND, it’s very important to me to be clear and transparent about what it is I’m asking or sharing.

You can trust the links I share with you here!

The way this platform works is I get paid for minutes viewed.  This is a great way to support me for free if you’d like.  There’s a place for reviews as well, hint hint 🙂

So! Without further ado, here is the link to my first on-line class (drum roll please!)

Simple & Elegant Watercolor Cards

So, go forth!  Take 30 minutes and watch the class and see if it inspires you to get the materials out and get creative?

Here’s a linked list of all the supplies I used: Watercolor Card Class Supply Links.pdf.pdf

Remember, you ARE a creative!  And don’t forget that “Creativity is a Mind Set Free” (quote by Torie T. Asai)

Then browse the hundreds of other classes on Skillshare and you’ll be UNSTOPPABLE!
