Since I started this little art adventure, my motto has always been “Play Art & Spread Joy”. This originated from making handmade cards and giving them to friends. Many years later, I’m still playing art all the time, and now sell my cards on-line. BUT, one of my favorite things to do is play art with friends.
Something I’ve always done throughout the years is make time to play art with friends. I’ve taught numerous classes, joined groups of like minded creatives who met regularly, and invited friends over frequently to play art with me. These are the happiest of times!
Recently I shared some of the cards I made with my bestie, and she wanted to buy all of them! No problem, I just made more. When I showed her the next batch, she bought some of those, too! I was (and still am) trying to get a good batch going so I can offer these handmade cards for sale in a local shop, but every time I show them, she buys them and I have to make more, which is a good problem to have I guess!
So, I offered to show my bestie how to make the cards and we made a date to play art. When the day came, my mom joined us and we had so much fun. Here are some pics of our art session:
During this time that we were at my kitchen table playing art, we made a big happy mess, solved the world’s problems, and laughed until we peed our pants! What could be better?
If you don’t already do this regularly, I suggest you give it a try sometime at your own kitchen table! If you are in Kitsap County, I offer to come to you and set your table with art supplies, and guide you and your friends/family in a fun art project. Check out the details HERE.
So let me set your table and let’s play some art! (yes, it will get messy, but there’s tablecloths for that – don’t worry!)

Go get your creative on my friends!
