When: December 15th from 5-8pm

Where: Black Fern Cafe

Why: Because creativity is scientifically proven to be good for you and it doesn’t even involve exercise or vegetables!

Friend, I’m so excited for this workshop!  Come make one these beautiful journals for yourself or for a unique handmade gift.

After reading the book “Get Messy Art” by Caylee Grey, I was inspired to make my own art journal and play art in it everyday.

My art journal and I have become best friends and we go everywhere together.  Somehow an art journal is very different from just purchasing a ‘sketchbook’.  It’s yours, you created it, it’s beautiful, and you are drawn to it.  The act of making the art journal actually kicks off that creative spark inside of you and I’d be surprised if you didn’t go home with excitement and inspiration for your first entry.

Whenever I am passionate about something creative, the next step for me is to share it with as many people as I can, thus the ‘Make Your Own Personalized Journal’ workshop was born.

What is an art journal?

  • a place to play with no expectation of a finished product or a sharable piece.
  • a place to try something new – a new pen, a new paint color, a new idea, etc.
  • a place with no rules
  • a place to focus on process and not end results
  • a place for failure without judgement
  • a place to hone your style
  • a place for self care

What an art journal is not:

  • a place for perfection
  • a place for expectations

So come grab a glass of wine and some snacks from the cafe and let’s play some art together!  You will be so glad you did this for yourself.

I’ve been collecting all the materials and you will walk away with a new bestie and some prompts to get your started on your art journal journey (say that 3x fast!).

If you need to research further, grab Caylee Grey’s book, “Get Messy Art”.   In fact, grab that book even if you ARE signing up!  It’s fantabulous.

See you there?
