You know the tradition, everyone sits down at the Thanksgiving dinner table and as you feast, each person shares one thing they are grateful for. Well, what if people didn’t have to say it? Instead, they write it and display it at their spot at the table?
And just so everyone doesn’t say the same generic thing, ‘I’m grateful for family’, you could have rules like, “We acknowledge we are grateful for each other in this room, so the rule is that you have to share something your grateful for other than family or a family member.” Or whatever rules you want to put in place. You could be really mean and say something like, “Only things that start with ‘s'”. You do you!
I hand lettered this fun little card for you to print out and hand out to family, kids, and anyone else who strays in your door on Thanksgiving. They can enjoy decorating it, filling out what they are grateful for, and then they can display it at their spot at the table.
Conversation is easier when people are sitting and working on something fun together, and kids are MUCH quieter when they are doing art type activities. You are welcome.
I traced mine onto watercolor paper and then painted it with watercolors, outlined everything in pen, and added a little sparkle, but anything goes! Crayons, color pencils, markers, invisible ink, etc. would all work! You could have each person write what they are thankful for in invisible ink and then it gets revealed at dinner time! The world is your oyster, friends.
Pro tip: Print these out on card stock or watercolor paper for best results.
Enjoy this download, pass ’em out and fold them in half to make a little tent sign for the table.
