The Wonderful Words for This Wednesday is “Big Magic”
Today I’m going to share with you a fantastic book recommendation! But first, I’d like to ask you a few questions:
How do you read books these days?
Are you a die hard physical book person or do you also enjoy an e-reader at times?
How do you feel about audio books?
I love having this conversation with others because most of us have some pretty strong opinions on this subject!
As for me, I truly love a physical book and have lived with bookshelves packed full of books in our living area for most of my adult life, however, I have also utilized my local library (wherever I’ve lived) religiously.
Furthermore, I always have a few audio books going in my Libby app at all times. If you don’t have the Libby app, it’s an app that allows you to check out digital books or audiobooks from your library for free. The app looks like this:
One thing I love about listening to audio books is that I can listen to a book whilst I play art!
Book Recommendation
Regardless of how you read a book, I highly recommend the book Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert.
The subtitle is “Creative Living Beyond Fear”. Do you even need to hear any more? This book is GOLD for one’s creative freedom.
If you want to read it as a physical book, it’s a quick and easy read.
If you want to listen to it as an audio book, Elizabeth reads it aloud herself and she is absolutely lovely.
Whatever you do, give yourself the gift of being inspired, of letting go of all the excuses you tell yourself like “I don’t have a creative bone in my body”, and of finding that creative self that is dying to be discovered deep within you.
