The wonderful Words for this Wednesday are “Back to School”

I know I’ve said this before, but I LOVE school supplies! Don’t you remember shopping for new paper, pencils, pens, pouches, peechees, paints, etc? Interesting, it’s just now when I started typing out this list that I noticed how many school supplies start with ‘p’!

So it was a no brainer for me to create a “Back to School” collection for my Zazzle store. It’s time to start getting the kids ready for heading back into the classroom, and Print on Demand products take a bit to get to you so I wanted to get this out to you asap.

My inspiration for this collection was to design products that will help your child’s school supplies stand out amongst the ‘sea of sameness’ in the schools. Having been a teacher, I know how many backpacks, lunch boxes, and water bottles end up in the lost and found on the daily, so I made many of the products personalizable.

Here is the main design I used for most of the products. As with many of my designs, this one was inspired by a sketch I did in my sketchbook one day. And now that Adobe Illustrator and I are getting along a lot better, I was able to use that sketch to create this scalable design.

Once I dialed in the design exactly how I wanted it, I uploaded it into my Zazzle media and created products with it. Here’s what is in the Back To School Collection thus far (I added a few gender neutral products as well):
